Contraception Counseling

A contraceptive management plan is something that a patient and her Gyn will create and implement as a team. Each woman is unique and has individual birth control needs and concerns. The doctor and patient will discuss all the options for contraception and then make a decision allowing you to choose a method of contraception that will work best with your lifestyle.  Although hormonal contraceptives and IUDs are highly effective at preventing pregnancy, they do not protect against STDs, including HIV.
